Social housing for rent in Istanbul: Prices, districts and application requirements

Monthly prices for TOKİ's rental housing will start from 10 thousand TL. Applications will open on September 14; the first 1,071 houses are planned to be delivered in October.

Application conditions and starting rental prices for the project, which covers 15 thousand rental social housing in Istanbul, have been announced. According to the statement of Minister Murat Kurum quoted by TRT Haber, applications will start on September 14, 2026. In the first stage, 1,071 houses are expected to be delivered in October.

Monthly starting rents 1+1: 10.000 TL 2+1: 12.000 TL 3+1: 15.000 TL 4+1: 18.000 TL These are the announced starting amounts; it does not mean a single fixed rent for all apartments.

Districts where the houses will be located Anatolian Side: Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, Üsküdar, Maltepe, Tuzla and Kartal. European Side: Basaksehir, Gaziosmanpasa, Beyoglu, Gungoren and Arnavutkoy.

Who can apply? Married citizens of the Republic of Turkey who have completed the age of 18 will be able to apply. It is necessary to reside in Istanbul for at least one year, not to own a house and to have a monthly household income of less than 100,000 TL.

The lease period will be three years. At the end of this period, the new beneficiaries will be determined by lottery again. 15 thousand houses represent the total scope of the project, and 1,071 houses represent the first delivery stage.
